Carow Packaging Team Helps Grant Wishes for Teens with Cancer

A Carow Packaging team, the Carowbots, participated in the Nik Ritschel Foundation’s 2021 Home Run Campaign, on Oct. 9th to help make wishes come true for teens fighting cancer. Several Carow Packaging employees and family members turned out for the 7K run and 1.5 mile walk to raise money and show support for these brave teens.

The Nik Ritschel Foundation was created with the primary mission to boost morale and grant wishes for teens and young adults battling the disease. Nik discovered that young adults over 17 are not eligible for cancer support network programs like Make-A-Wish. Nik identified this gap and his last wish was for the Foundation named in his honor to help young adults fighting cancer to have a wish too.

Carow Packaging matched the donations raised by the Carowbot team members and won the Corporate sponsor award, helping the Nik Ritschel Foundation raise almost $13,000. They will be able to grant wishes to 8 teens in the community.

The Foundation is still accepting donations. If you would care to learn more about how you can make a wish come true for a teen battling cancer, you can learn more and donate here.
